What’s better than a lightly flavored chocolate cupcake? One that is decorated to resemble Minnie Mouse, of course! This cupcake is just one of the many possible desserts to choose from at Disney’s Polynesian Resort. It consists of a chocolate cupcake with a slight hint of mocha, a ton of chocolate mousse frosting, a ganache-like chocolate coating, a while fondant bow, and, of course, two Oreo cookies perched on top to make the mouse ears. Who can resist such a treat?

Fondant bows and mouse ears on either side of a heaping helping of buttercream frosting say “Disney” in a subtle fashion. You can make these cupcakes from any cake batter that you choose, although these are a wonderful vanilla flavor. The buttercream is also vanilla, although, like the cupcakes, you can decide to use chocolate instead, of any other flavor, for that matter. What is important is the crowning touch that makes these Disney-fied — the mouse ears!

Giant cupcake base is made from solid chocolate colored pink. Inside holds a super moist vanilla cake cut and filled with vanilla buttercream and jam. The smaller minnies are muffin sized cupcakes again with a solid chocolate base and holds a delish vanilla cupcake finished with buttercream and a cute pink bow.
