Do the Hokey Pokey Cupcakes

Many people have heard of The Hokey Pokey – the song that is played (and danced to) at many weddings and other events. Few have heard of the candy that is made of sugar, dark golden corn syrup and baking soda. Combine the candy with coffee syrup (for the top), homemade caramel, flour and other ingredients to make a hokey pokey cupcake. Top with cinnamon mascarpone frosting and a drizzle of the coffee syrup and serve these complex cupcakes!

LOVE HEART CUPCAKES

A simple cupcake is made even sweeter, thanks to the addition of a red fondant heart and some edible silver pearls. Once you have combined the ingredients, poured the batter into a series of heart covered cupcake liners and baked them, it is time for the fun to begin. Roll out your white and red fondant frostings (not together, of course – keep them separate) and cut out the decorative bits that you need. Assemble, add on a little raspberry jam, and then enjoy!
