Kit Kat Cupcakes

Kit Kat Cupcakes

Nothing makes a sweet treat (think cupcake) better than combining it with something else delicious. Sometimes this is fruit. Sometimes it’s a flavoring of some sort…and sometimes it’s just more sugary goodness (i.e. chocolate). While these wonderful little morsels are great for that “leftover” Halloween candy you just have “laying” around, they’re also great for any sort of event or just ‘cuz since Kit Kats – yes, you heard me – are available year around at any friendly neighborhood checkout stand. Psst: the secret ingredient is love…or really…some coffee, but still, that’s almost the same thing.

Slasher Movie Cupcakes

Slasher Movie Cupcakes

It’s hard to argue that slasher movies are great occasions for popcorn, but this little cake in a cup might give that idea a run for its money. This goolish, haunting cupcake makes a GREAT treat for Halloween and will spook up any party without creeping out your guests (hopefully). With a little detail, a fork, and some red food coloring, you can make these already-tasty cupcakes the stars of your party. Paired with a (hopefully fake) knife and some other wonderful treats, these make a great choice for just about any event this eventful candy season.

Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes

Pumpkin Spice Cupcakes

So really, what can you dislike about a pumpkin spice cupcake? The best part, I think, is that it can be used for practically any use this season. With some classy cinnamon on top and festive liners, they make a great Thanksgiving treat. However, if you’re feeling a little spooky, plop a spider on top, add some orange food coloring to your frosting and, BOOM! instant Halloween treat for an awesome party. So whether you’re looking for a classy treat or a spooky one, you know you’ll get nothin’ but delicious out of this cupcake.

Skeleton Cupcakes

Skeleton Cupcakes

Boo! Did I scare you? No?…You’re no fun. Well, maybe these cupcakes will do the trick with their creepy little skeleton decor, or sour cream and milk base. Yes, sour cream. Are you SURE that doesn’t scare you? Good…because you’d be missing out if it did. The little skeleton on top is just an added bonus and makes these great for just about any Halloween party, especially when paired with an adorable cupcake liner. BOO! – Did I get you THAT time? No?…sigh.

Easy Halloween Cupcakes

With a little creativity, you can make Halloween themed cupcakes that might scare the neighborhood children. Until they bite into them, that is. Start with the cupcake flavors of your choice — you can go with chocolate, vanilla, peanut butter or even something exotic. It is up to you. Then, set up the items needed to decorating the cupcakes: vanilla frosting, food coloring, decorating gel, cookies, cookie crumbs, candy pumpkins… and then get creative!
