Sour Cream Chocolate Cupcakes with Dark Chocolate Sour Cream Frosting

Sour Cream Chocolate Cupcakes with Dark Chocolate Sour Cream Frosting

The next time you are in the mood for a batch of chocolate cupcakes, put this recipe for Sour Cream Chocolate Cupcakes at the top of your list. The cupcakes are a favorite recipe of mine because they have a tremendous amount of chocolate flavor, but they’re very easy to make.

They’re a good all-purpose cupcake that can be dressed up any way you need them to be – but I’ll recommend going with a chocolate frosting to deliver the most intense chocolate experience possible in each bite.

Blueberry Cupcakes

Blueberry Cupcakes

Blueberries are delicious. Do you need anymore convincing to try these blueberry cupcakes? I hope not, because blueberries may be the best (and most delicious, in my opinion) filling and topping for cupcakes. They don’t really ruin the fluffy goodness inside, and they add a wonderful layer of flavor that is just unmatchable by any other fruit. Top with a toooon of frosting that just screams “eat me!” and you have an amazing little cake that could technically even be a breakfast food.

Pina Colada Cupcakes

Pina Colada Cupcakes

You could say that when you are boozing it up with these cupcakes, you’re doing it in a very classy way. Or you could just say, “TGIF!” Pina Colada Cupcakes are every bit as good as knocking back a few real-life Pina Coladas. The thing about this particular cupcake though, is that it has a double whammy when it comes to the alcohol. These babies are rum soaked AND filled with pineapple preserves, which no doubt acts as a wonderful vessel for gathering up a bit more of that rum flavor. It just might be that these are a don’t eat-and-drive delectable! (But wouldn’t they be worth it?)
