Chile Mocha Cupcakes

Chile Mocha Cupcakes

So here is my new obsession; these chile mocha cupcakes. They are of course inspired by the new Starbucks fall drink, the chile mocha.

A sweet combination of cocoa, cinnamon with a small kick from ancho and cayenne chile. The true definition of sweet and spicy if you ask me and just what you need for those mornings when you need an extra kick. Like today!!!

Double Chocolate Mocha Crunch Cupcakes

Double Chocolate Mocha Crunch Cupcakes

It’s finally the weekend! We think some chocolate is in order, and these double chocolate mocha crunch cupcakes are perfect for the job.

These are messy, so grab fork and save your face from being covered in frosting. Or not. Eat it how you like, just do it—never mind that the frosting alone probably doubles the cupcake portion in calories. Enjoy!

Mocha Cupcakes with Espresso Buttercream Frosting

Mocha Cupcakes with Espresso Buttercream Frosting

These mocha cupcakes are a chocolate and coffee lover’s dream come true. If you can’t get your day going without your favorite cup of coffee, you’re in luck.

I might even go so far as to suggest that you should just skip your morning cup of coffee or trip to Starbucks and have one of these instead. The cake part itself strikes a subtle balance between light chocolate and a hint of creamy coffee. Not overwhelming on either end of the spectrum, and the combination results in a smooth, clean flavor, which is perfect for topping with espresso-spiked buttercream.

Chocolate Malt Espresso Cupcakes

Chocolate Malt Espresso Cupcakes
The perfect combination of chocolate, malted milk and coffee. They are insanely rich and chocolatey, with hints of malt and a kick of espresso.
These one bowl cupcakes are probably one of the easiest recipes ever, yet one of the most mind-blowingly delicious! The rich, moist and fudgy, cupcakes are topped with a light creamy chocolate malt espresso frosting, a drizzle of simple chocolate glaze and finished with a tiny swirl of sweet vanilla buttercream and a chocolate malt ball on top, pure decadence.

Smoked Sumatra Coffee Cupcakes

You’ve undoubtedly heard of smoked meats, like salmon and beef, and the results that you receive – jerky, in most cases. However, smoked cupcakes? Is that a real thing? Actually, yes, it is. These smoked cupcakes are made of cocoa powder, espresso powder, sugar, flour, and a bunch of the “standard” ingredients required of a typical chocolate cupcake. The only difference is that they are bathed in hickory smoke for an hour after they have been baked and cooled. Top them with coffee flavored Swiss meringue buttercream frosting after smoking them.

Banana Chocolate Chip Coffee Cupcakes

Overripe bananas are nothing to cry over. Instead of throwing them out, turn them into cupcakes! These banana chocolate chip coffee cupcakes contain mashed bananas and chocolate chips, like the name implies. However, they also have chopped walnuts, cinnamon, sour cream, flour, sugar, and several other things. Since they are “coffee cupcakes” (similar to coffee cake) they aren’t frosted. A light sprinkling of sugar on top is all that is needed!
