Sweet Revenge’s “Pure” Cupcakes

There are so many complicated cupcake recipes out there that the “pure” ones stand out. And yes, revenge is indeed sweet when these simple cupcakes are served to your guests. Make them from butter, buttermilk, flour, eggs, sugar and vanilla — that is it, which is why they are considered “pure.” Bake, and then top with Sweet Revenge’s “pure” buttercream (butter, shortening, sugar, milk and more vanilla) and then sprinkle with even more sugar. Simple, yet so hard to resist!

Vanilla Buttermilk Cupcakes and Buttercream Frosting

Vanilla cupcakes are far from boring when they’re decorated to look like polar bears and snowmen. A little creativity goes a long way on these! The “bear” is made from a donut hole frosted and coated with shredded coconut, and the snowman is covered in sanding sugar to make him glisten like freshly-fallen snow. However, the best part lies within — this vanilla cupcake is both rich and luscious, and the frosting is “the best EVER.” All in all, these are an unforgettable combination!

Classic Red Velvet Cupcakes

There is nothing more drool-worthy than a red velvet cupcake. These confectionary masterpieces, made from a buttermilk cupcake batter with a tiny — in this case, one tablespoon — bit of unsweetened cocoa powder and a touch of red food coloring to help them reach their classic color, are the perfect complement to any meal. Adding to the flavor rush that hits upon biting into one of these beauties is a generous layer of vanilla cream cheese frosting. Yummy!

Tres Leches Cupcakes

Rich, sweet, and creamy are three words for this three milk, or Tres Leches, cupcake. While the name literally means “three milks”, there are four milks used in this recipe; buttermilk, evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and coconut milk, all of which add to the decadent flavor and texture of this dessert. The Dulce de Leche frosting also lives up to its name, which means “candy of milk”. Whether on its own as a snack, or after a meal, this cupcake is “tres bon’”.
