Blue Cupcakes

Blueberry filled Vanilla cupcakes with lemon buttercream frosting are delicate, fruity, and wonderful for a light snack or a tempting dessert. The cake is a standard vanilla cupcake batter baked at 350 degrees for 18-20 minutes. The filling is easy as well; frozen blueberries thickened with sugar and cornstarch over heat. The blueberry filling is injected into the vanilla cupcake which is then topped with the tangy lemon buttercream. In not time, with little effort you have a super easy extra yummy afternoon treat.

Blue Tiffany Theme Cupcakes

A Tiffany-blue ribbon (yes, like the jewelry store) is an iconic item that people around the world recognize quickly and easily. Topping a series of cupcakes, whether they are made from chocolate, vanilla or red velvet, with a dollop of Tiffany-blue frosting and a beautiful silver or white ribbon sculpted out of the frosting makes for a memorable site. Serve these tasty treats at a wedding shower, baby shower, or even a birthday party. They go better if there’s a matching box alongside them!

Blue and Chocolate Swirl Cupcakes

Blue and Chocolate Swirl Cupcakes are a rich chocolate cupcake, either homemade or from a mix, topped with blue buttercream frosting and chocolate buttercream frosting swirled together using separate frosting bags, together in one bigger bag and a large Wilton tip. The trick is to use the same pressure on both bags of frosting at the same time to get the swirl to mix evenly. The effect is quite visually appealing however and perfect in specific colors for a theme party or wedding.

Blue Velvet Cupcakes

These are blue velvet cupcakes without the blue food coloring in the base itself. These are healthy and low in fat – exactly the recipe you’re looking for: an afternoon sweetness without the guilt. The chocolate base has a puree of blueberries but that doesn’t exactly turn the cupcakes blue. It’s when you bite on it that you start thinking about blue velvet. These are iced with a blue vegan frosting that anybody – vegan or not – will enjoy.

Layered Red, White & Blue Vanilla Cupcakes with Fool-Proof Cream Cheese Frosting

Simple vanilla cupcakes are taken up a notch, thanks to the addition of red and blue food coloring. To make these sweet treats as colorful as they are, take a standard vanilla cupcake batter and divide it into thirds. Color one section with blue food coloring, another with red, and leave the third one white. Simply swirl the batter together into the cupcake tins and voila! Patriotic goodies that are perfect for your next holiday barbecue.
