Sorghum Cupcakes with Orange Whiskey Whipped Cream is a cupcake based on a cake recipe from the 1800’s. The flavor of sorghum is similar to that of molasses but without the aftertaste. While still a dessert, the flavor is less sweet and richer. This becomes less of a cupcake and more of a sophisticated dessert when it is frosted with an innovative new icing which is made with heavy whipping cream infused with orange zest and whiskey.
