Nothing says “fall” like a pumpkin cupcake. These tasty treats are made from a cupcake batter that includes pumpkin puree, applesauce, nutmeg, ginger, cinnamon and buttermilk. For a little extra flavor, they are topped with two different types of frosting: chocolate ganache (made from semisweet chocolate chips and heavy whipping cream) and spiced cream cheese frosting (made from, among other things, cream cheese, cinnamon and nutmeg) layered on top of each other.
